Last week I participated Verge Retail & eCommerce the event at Epicenter Helsinki, a vibrant innovation hub that brings together digital pioneers, startups, and corporations to co-create the future of business.

The Verge program featured insightful remarks on the technological transformation of retail and e-commerce, emphasizing that while the technology is ready, the actual change depends on the mindset.

One of the most striking highlights was Walmart's recent announcement of a partnership with OpenAI... This is a clear sign that even the world's largest retailer is adopting artificial intelligence to improve customer experience and operations.

Artificial intelligence will not replace humans, but it will become an essential co-pilot in retail: it will help customers find products faster, compare prices instantly, and optimize delivery routes in real-time. At the same time, increasing automation and digital payments highlight the need for stronger transaction security and data privacy.

Industry 5.0 reminds us that technology should serve people, not the other way around. The future of e-commerce belongs to those who combine innovation and human-centered thinking.
