In the fall of 2024, on my trip to the Canton Fair, I met Erkki Kettunen, who also purchased products at the fair. A few months later, I finally had the opportunity to visit his warehouse store in Espoo, and I wanted to share the experience with you as well.
Beoman It has been operating since 1992. Erkki himself founded the company, which offers an impressively wide range of products from specialized screws to both used and brand-new electrical distribution boards. Erkki sources products both domestically, often from defunct companies, and directly from international markets, where he meets suppliers personally at trade fairs.
This building industry retail store is an excellent example of how skilled and knowledgeable staff can genuinely support builders and contractors. If a product is out of stock, it is sourced. One particularly pleasant surprise was the selection of used and refurbished electrical distribution boards, in other words, a prime example of the circular economy. According to Erkki, these boards sell quickly. One moment there might be several available, and the next, they might all be going to a single construction site.
I spent about an hour at the store, and the door opened continuously. Construction workers came to pick up specialty items, and often they took daily supplies with them at the same time. Erkki and his team's expertise is exceptional, and their passion for the field is evident in every detail. The atmosphere is relaxed yet professional, and customers clearly come not only to shop but also to chat and share experiences. This is a place where products are not just sold, but solutions and support are offered for all stages of a construction project.
Erkki is also strongly committed to sustainable development, and the resale of used electrical distribution centers is a good example of this approach. Reusing these units saves natural resources while offering builders a more cost-effective option. Beoman is where environmental responsibility and practicality meet.
